Thank you for your interest in the Southwestern Church of Christ. We are an independent (nondenominational) church.
This means that we are a pretty diverse group of Christians. We come from a wide-range of different religious experiences: Roman Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Church of God, Mennonite, or no church background at all. But in Christ Jesus we are one. Our goal is simply to be Christians and to accept one another as Christ has accepted us.
We derive our identity as disciples and as a church from our Lord Jesus Christ whose name we wear. It is our common faith in Jesus as the Son of God that has brought us together as a church and a community of believers.
It is our privilege and obligation to love, edify and encourage one another and to share the hope of Christ with our community and the entire world.
We are not perfect. We are a group of sinners who have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God to serve in his name. Our individual and collective aim is to exalt Jesus Christ as Lord in our lives.
May the Lord bless your journey of faith as you seek to know him better and to serve him more.

Audry Hardy (Elder)
After graduating from college, my wife and I moved to central Ohio. We were first attracted to this church because of the warmth and love that was shown to us by the members of the church. My wife and I have been a part of the South Western Church family for over 30 years. Both of our children were baptized in this church. I have served the church in the areas of finance, teaching, and marriage counseling. I have also served as an elder for almost 10 years, and I look forward to serving and meeting the needs of the congregation for many years to come.
The love and warmth that first attracted us to this congregation still exists. We welcome you to visit and experience this for yourselves

Ron Phillips (Elder)
I have been a member of the church for over 34 years and was baptized here at Southwestern. In my service to the church I have been education director, deacon, teacher, song leader and worked in all other aspects of the church. I have held the position of elder now for over 9 years and continue to enjoy caring for the members of the Southwestern Congregation.
After retiring from American Electric Power in 2001, with 29 plus years of service, I am now a full time RealtorŪ. I attended college at Morehead State University in the sixty's, and after a tour in the military, completed two bachelor degrees from Franklin University, one in Business Management and one in Marketing.
My wife Carole and I are long time residents of Grove City and celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in June of 2006. We have one son, Michael, and a daughter-in-law, Kelly. They have given us two grandchildren named Maddi and Jackson. Carole and I love teaching bible classes (especially the young ages), spending time with our grandchildren, and taking relaxing trips to Lake Erie.

Greg Ratermen (Elder)
I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and have 3 younger sisters. In 1970, at the age of 22 I was converted from Catholicism. That same year Mary and I were married. Shortly there after we started attending at Southwestern. We have 3 children-Cynthia, Cheryl and Brian and 1 grandchild-Rueben. Mary graduated from OSU and worked as a licensed physical therapist until she quit to raise our family. In 1973 we bought 3 acres of land and had a house built, where we still live. I served 6 years in the Army National Guard, graduated from General Motors Institute with an Industrial Engineering degree in 1971 and after working 37+ years at General Motors/Delphi, retired at the end of 2003. Mary went back to work in the OSU Human Resource Department after the children left home and is still working. We enjoy camping and have been going to the Minnesota Boundary Waters Canoe Area for the past 15 years. Hobbies that I enjoy are: stamp collecting (mainly US), fishing, gardening (roses) and nature activities (hiking, birding, butterflies, wildflowers). I have served as an elder here at Southwestern since 1997.
